Location notes
A small town on the East Coast Main Line, almost midway between Edinburgh and Newcastle.
The Royal Border Bridge is immediately to the south of the station.
Railway type and traffic
Standard northern ECML passenger traffic: NXEC 91s and HSTs, Virgin Voyagers.
Freight consists of EWS operated services from Scotland to Tyne yard and beyond ( Enterprise / Intermodal, Alcans, Steel, also sometimes Cartics and Pipes. Freightliner operates a weekly cement service from Oxwellmains to Seaham.
Environment
A small town location, relatively quiet.
Road directions
From the A1 from Newcastle or Edinburgh, the station is in the centre of Berwick upon Tweed and is well sign posted.

Parking
There is a large station car park (long and short term), plus plenty of parking in the town.
Public transport
Either Virgin or GNER services to the station.
Amenities
The atation has toilets and small shop. There are restaurants, pubs, chip shops etc 5 mins walk away in the town.

Lighting is best for services from Newcastle in the morning and in the afternoon for those from Edinburgh. Although decent results can be obtained in both directions for most of the day.
