About 20 miles south of London in Surrey on the London to Brighton mainline.
Railway type and traffic
Redhill is served by five different Train Operating Companies so there is a wide variety of passenger traffic. Freight traffic is, however, very rare. With only a few trains to and from Crawley.
Environment
Close to Redhill town centre.
Road directions
From M25 Junction 8 follow the signs for Redhill. When you reach the town centre follow the signs for the A25 towards Godstone, and you will soon see the railway and station on an embankment to the left of the road.

Parking
The station car park is for season ticket holders only on weekdays, but there are plenty of shopping car parks nearby.
Public transport
Trains from London, Gatwick & the South Coast, Reading & Guildford, and Kent via Tonbridge.
Amenities
The shopping centre is very close, also hot & cold drinks are sold on the station platform.

From platforms 1&2. The best way to reach the footbridge is through the car park which is to the left of the tracks, on the town centre side of the station.

From platforms 1&2. The tracks curving away to the left are the line to Tonbridge, straight on is the main line to Gatwick & Brighton, and the line to Reigate and Guildford curves to the right. The sidings on the right of the picture are disused.

The right hand island platforms 1&2 are usually used for services that terminate or reverse at Redhill, and through trains to London. Platform 3 is used for services from London. The track on the left of the photo is the former Royal Mail terminal, which is now only used as an occasional emergency stabling point.

From the footbridge. The footbridge is caged over but the sides are the original ironwork with large enough gaps to fit a camera through.

There is a view from the car park near the back entrance to the station, but the fence is a bit of a nuisance.
